About Meadowlark Midwifery
At Meadowlark Midwifery, we believe every family deserves care that is personal, informed, and centered around their unique needs. Our approach combines evidence-based midwifery care with relationship-building, autonomy, and respect for the choices that matter most to you.
We are honored to support families through conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, creating a space where questions are welcomed, decisions are informed, and care is tailored to the individual.
Meet Kayla Kronfeld, CPM, LM
Kayla Kronfeld founded Meadowlark Midwifery in the spring of 2026 with a vision of providing individualized, relationship-centered care for growing families.
Her journey into birthwork began in 2018 as a doula, where she discovered a deep passion for supporting individuals and families through one of life’s most transformative experiences. This passion led her to pursue formal midwifery education through the Midwives College of Utah, where she graduated and continued developing her skills through extensive clinical training.
Kayla’s experience includes working alongside local birth centers and homebirth practices, supporting families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. She is also passionate about strengthening the midwifery community and frequently collaborates with and supports fellow midwives, some of whom serve as assistants with Meadowlark Midwifery.
A Holistic Approach to Care
Kayla believes that pregnancy and birth are deeply personal experiences that deserve individualized support and informed decision-making.
Her approach is rooted in:
- Evidence-based care
- Informed consent
- Shared decision-making
- Respect for personal autonomy
- Building trusting relationships
- Compassionate, non-judgmental support
Whether discussing testing options, preparing for birth, or navigating postpartum adjustments, Kayla strives to ensure families feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way.
Growing Through Herbal Studies
In addition to her midwifery practice, Kayla is currently a student at the Midwest School of Herbal Studies, where she is pursuing her Master Herbalist degree with the goal of becoming a Registered Herbalist.
She has a deep appreciation for the role plants can play in supporting health and wellness and enjoys learning about herbs that may benefit conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Her love of herbal medicine reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and holistic care.
Beyond Midwifery
When she’s not caring for clients or supporting fellow birth workers, Kayla enjoys spending time with her partner and pets, paddling a canoe or kayak, tending to her growing collection of plants, and getting lost in a good book.
She especially enjoys mystery novels, cat-themed whodunits, and stories that keep her guessing until the very last page.
These simple joys help keep her grounded and connected to the values that inspire her work: curiosity, compassion, community, and care.
A Partnership Built on Trust
Choosing a midwife is about more than selecting a healthcare provider. It’s about finding someone who will listen, support your choices, and walk alongside you throughout your journey.
At Meadowlark Midwifery, we are honored to be part of that journey and look forward to supporting your family with compassionate, personalized care.
